  1. I used a program called DVD Decrypter to decrypt a dvd movie onto my hard drive. I then took the decrypted movie that was on my hard drive and copied it on to 2 dvd's by using my Plextor 708 A burner. The movie was about 8 gig so it took 2 dvd's. Now what do I have to do to be able to play this movie just like the original dvd? I looked at the file type on my hard drive and it says file type VOB. The files are listed as VTS_01_5, VTS_01_06 and so on in the folder on my hard drive. I am trying to make a duplicate copy of a dvd movie. What next?

  2. you need to go to your local DVD Home Reproduction Outlet and get 16 ounces of a 2-stage alphaic resin compound. This actually consists of 2 seperate but critical components : a liquefied electromagnetic catalyst(amber is best), and a double inadvertant adhesive solution.

Place both dvd's shiny side down on a static free surface. On the left, in a counterclockwise motion apply the catalyst evenly with a canvas swab. On the right disc brush the adhesive in a lateral motion using truncated q-tips until evenly applied. Allow to dry for 7 min 17 seconds. Then twist the two treated surfaces together in a clockwise manner....but not too clockwise or you'll cause audio synchronization myopia.

Then set an overtly assembled counterweight on the joined dvd for 2 hours allowing for full bonding.

If that seems too complex a process, you also may try doing a little research in the guides section in the left hand column of this page. The answers you seek are readily available there.

Read the What Is DVD section at top left and also in the convert section look for DVD to DVDR. You need to know what IFO, BUP and VOB files are before you jump in and burn them. You also need to get a RW so you can experiment without burning frisbees.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  6. I followed MMASW's instructions an I was able make a perfect replication. I found that using JB Weld actually worked better than the alphaic resin compound for bonding. If your going to do it this way use the JB Weld Quick because it sets up in 4 minutes. Thanks again for the help!
