  1. ok very new to ripping trying to rip my 1st dvd
    the problem ihave is . im trying to rip a dvd called swordfish but the software just freezes when its ripped about 35 mins.
    then wont respond
    im using super dvd ripper and tried the same dvd using
    dvd to divx ripper and get the same result but maybe when i done 20 mins

    my system specs are

    compaq presario 2100
    cpu amd athlon 1862mhz
    bus speed 133 mhz
    motherboad hewlett packard 0024
    video ati radeon igp 320m
    sound conexant amc audio
    memory 512mb
    40gb hard drive with about 30gb free


    hope i supplied enough info if anyone thinks it maybe the software im using to rip please feel free to recomend others

    I see that you are using that old WIN88 SE operating system (Win88 was a piece of junk).

    I've never even heard of super DVD ripper. Get yourself a modern operating system, then try SMARTRIPPER (which I use) or DVDDecryptor (which I don't use that often).

    i cant get more modern operating system mate im using windows xp but i will try smartripper

    anyone know why it keeps freezng during ripping ?

    Oh... I look at your "Computer Details" button, and it shows Win88 S E.

    I have heard of people having problems ripping certain DVDs. Usually, if this happens, then they just change from Smartripper to DVDDecryptor, or vice versa.

    I have win 98se and I use dvd decryptor and clone dvd with no problems .. :P

    opps my fault for false information . forgot to update it when i got laptop will do that now and also try dvd dycryptor

    No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

    What type/brand of drive are you using to rip the files? I noted in the posts that you hadnt updated your info yet. I had a Samsung that needed a firmware update before it could rip some newer dvd roms. It would give me all kinds of odd read errors. I flashed it and they all went away.

    thanks to all just ripped 28 days later in 40 mins (crap i know but just wanted to try to rip) using dvd dycryptor


    info now updated . my writer is a qsi cdrw/dvd sbw-241
    in a laptop i know knothing about updating firmware so if anybdy knows what is the latest firmware or where i can get it ill be gratefull and try to update
