On sale this week at Best Buy:

    Fujifilm 4x DVD-R 10-pack for $17.99 minus $5 rebate = $12.99

A good price for top quality discs. These should be Taiyo Yuden discs, but check to be sure they say "made in Japan" on the box.

  3. be careful with their rebates! I have 8-10 from oct, nov, dec, that still show as "New" on their site. And their site claims payment in 20 days.
    ????
I email them they say, they don't have my rebates?.. really they lost(?) 8 different ones?

be very careful, Fuji used to be great about rebates but the last one I received was in November. It's like they just stopped paying them.

  5. Fuji has changed a bunch of thier stuff, last spindle of -R discs I got were prodisc, and i just recently stocked up on 50 pks of TY CDRs becuase they switched the hundred packs of cdrs to prodisc. Last time I looked at 10 pks of DVDs though I didnt see any from Japan.

The last 10-pack of DVD-R discs I bought said MADE IN JAPAN and were Taiyo Yuden discs ... last 10-pack I bought was maybe a month ago.

I'll be PISSED OFF big time if they changed this ... but I'll still buy some of these on sale (and could care less about the rebate) as long as the box says MADE IN JAPAN

I'll probably check it out tomorrow after work ... if they have any left!

    P.S.
I have noticed lately that it is damn hard to find FUJI CD-R discs that say MADE IN JAPAN on them.

I just realized something ... the FUJI DVD+R discs do not say MADE IN JAPAN but I've never seen a 10-pack DVD-R package that was anything other than MADE IN JAPAN.

  8. yes, all the +R 10-packs I've seen are Taiwan. But all the -R 10-packs have still been Japan (TY).
Last time I was at BB the 50 pack Fuji CDRs were Japan(TY) again. (they weren't the time before that.

Just look for the Made In JAPAN!

  10. CMC? Fuji has gone bad... no wonder my rebates are missing... they must be in trouble... probably due to having good media all these years, while others pushed taiwanese crap.

  11. Fuji still honors rebates. The only problem is, it takes months for them to arrive. Like you all say, their site lists the rebate status as new, even after a long wait. I had the same experience. Kept checking the site after 4 months, only to find NEW. Then, magically I got the rebate in the mail. So, I guess they do have issues.

Same here. I always watch for the 5 and 10 pack sales, since these are the TY DVDs.

Anybody know if there is a limit to number of rebates? Sometimes you can purchase 5 packs and get the rebates, other times the rebate is only good for one purchase.

BTW, TDK 100 packs also on sale for $99, no mail in rebate. Wonder if these are TDK, Maxell, or Ritek G04. Think I'll pass if they're Ritek.

  13. I think only one rebate per same item/offer. you can check this at their site: myrewards.info but I checked it the past it it would only let me apply for one rebate.

  14. For the people who have already bought these, I just wanted to make sure that these are indeed 4x dvd-rs. The description on the best buy website says 2.4x which is obviously wrong.
