  1. I am new to this board and its a simple question. I have a NEC dvd+writer on my PC and wish to buy a DVD recorder for my lounge that will play DVD+. Would prefer NOT to have to finalise discs, so I suppose it has to play DVD+R and DVD+RW discs. A hard drive would be useful too. The search enginge on this site doesnt include HDD, so im looking for recorder models that do DVD+ and have a hard drive (HDD). Help

There don't appear to be any +R recorders with a hard drive.

Of the -R recorders with HD, only the Pioneer models have -RW capability (to transport to PC without wasting a -R disk every time).

I've just bought a Pioneer DVR-510H-S on the basis that it had RW capability, a HD and firewire i/o.

If you want to go down this route, you may have to get a +/-R burner for your PC.

Either way, if you want a HD, it's going to cost you....
