the dvd author program that came with my burner pioneer-104
will only let me set a minimum bitrate of 5 wich gives me 1.5 hrs of video.
no matter what format the source video is it will rencode to 5bit. can i capture dvd compliant mpeg-2 with my all in wonder 8500 radeon and not re-encode it. maybee just change the extention to .vob and put it in a video_ts folder and burn that on a dvd-r so it will play on a stand alone player. i can capture as low as 3 bit with my card.
