  1. Hello everyone, I am another newbie with a question - probably one you have heard before. I am attempting to capture 4 24 minute cartoons from VHS tapes that I own and convert them for burning to DVD. I am able to capture them into what look to be smooth and clean MPEG2 files (720X480, 4000 CBR 224bit 48khz audio). The problem occurs when I attempt to author them with TDA - everything appears to be working ok, but the each cartoon ends up being approximately half the size it should be, and approx half as long. Any help is appreciated.
I have tried running each captured video file through TMPGEnc Plus, but get the same results in TDA.

  2. Ok I think I have discovered part of the problem - TDA was in fact NOT the problem. When I ran the captured MPEG files through TMPGEnc Plus, only about 5 minutes of the video is rendered, then the frame freezes and stays frozen for the remaining length of the video. The primary reason I was using TMPGEnc was to avoid audio sync problems I have encountered with other editors. Anyone have an idea why this might be happening?
