    Does anyone know what's the maximum length of S-video cable that can be used without significant degradation of signal? My satellite receiver is approximately 60 feet from my PC. Neither can be moved without severe difficulty. The cheapest SVHS amplifier I've found is $159 so I'd rather not use one.

    I have used 40 feet of SVHS Cable without any visable loss of picture quality, never needed more than that.
