  1. Hey there, on certain dvd's I still have a problem with subtitles auto triggering on the dvd player even though I selected no subtitles during the re-authoring. The most recent one that comes to mind is Harry Potter I.
Am I doing something wrong? Like I said it hasn't happened on every dvd I've made, but I always select no subtitles...

    Thanks,

    John

  2. Are you backing up the whole DVD or just re-authoring the main movie only?

In preferences there's an option to hide/show small streams. This needs to be configured correctly. Subtitles are very small and some will not even be listed unless this option is configured correctly.

  6. I had this problem before.. I found this on the site somewhere else and use it still when authoring the main movie only. This will fix it and its real simple. Use Ifoedit for it.

With IFOEdit, open VIDEO_TS.IFO/VMGM_MAT/First Play PGC.
    Right click on 1.Pre Command
    Choose Insert Command
    Right click on 1.Pre Command
    Choose edit command
Select (SetSTN)Set Subpicture Stream Nr Stream = 0
    Save file.
This will turn off the subtitles at startup.
