Hi,
I am just wondering if the buffer size really doesn't matter any more because of burn-proof (and the likes) protections? I have never puchased any burners (both CDR & DVDR) that are less than 8MB. But seems like none of the newer models coming out have more than 2MB. I've always read that larger buffer size is better; do I have to stay with 4X burners (and stock up on them) if I want to keep on using 8MB writers?
Any comments will be appreciated. Thank in advance.

And I've never had any trouble with my PX-708A..... -
One time I tried burning via USB instead of USB 2
It was writing at 0.3-0.6x instead of 2.4x and JustLink handled everything perfectly.
