    I have the sony ns300 and It says it is suppose to play cdr's but I tried kodak silver and gold and basf and neither of them work. Is it the cdr's that I am using or do you have to setup the dvd player somehow? Anybody with this dvd player advice would be appreciated.

    No, its justthat Sony player's are known to be very picky when it comes to CDRs, I would try Sony brand CDRs and maybe CDRws of different brands
