I have several questions about vegas 8 pro. The first one is capture. Will I be better off capturing with vegas or WinDV?
The next question is rendering. I will be authoring in TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 and was wondering how I should render vegas 8 pro? There are many choices and I was wondering if anyone would know the best way for the vegas to TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 transfer? I will be putting this on a dvd. My other question is will the chapter I have set with vegas transfer over to TMPGEnc DVD? I don't want to have to redo the chapters all the time? Thanks.

windv
render as dvd compliant mpeg-2. the choices of bitrate and the rest are up to you.
chapters are made with the authoring tool not the encoder.

I wish I could use dvd architect but for some reason on xp and vista it says I am missing an add on or something to that nature. I was working with architect just a little bit ago and it took the chapters nicely. It just won't work in the make a dvd section. I wish I could get it to work but my copy of vegas is from a friend that did not want it any more but the bad thing is he had no key any more so Sony says tough. I don't know how to get Architect to work correctly.
