    everytime i backup a movie i de-select all the subpicture languages except for english and now everytime the dvd plays it automatically plays them do u guys know how to fix this?

    Have you unticked the subpicture setting in Preferences?

    I was having the same problems.

    I would have to go into custon settings and untick all subtitles. The movie now plays without sbtitles.

    In preferences there's an option to show/hide streams of insignificant size. Be sure you the option to display ALL streams. Subtitle streams are very small and unless you select the all option they won't be listed. If there not listed you can't un-check them.
