  1. Apparently the word is that Tmpgenc is having difficulties with the new QT codec. Does anyone know if the qtreader.vfp has been updated to accommodate this or is this more effective software out there to convert Qt mov files?

  2. I normally use TMPGEnc to convert my Quicktime files, however I do sometimes get problems - most common is no sound in the resulting MPG which I think is due to the Audio format used in the .mov file.

You can use EO-Video to convert these quicktime files directly, but in my opinion the resulting MPG video is not as good as TMPGEnc. I prefer to use EO-Video to convert just the audio from the .mov into a .wav file.

I then use TMPGEnc and add the .mov as the video source, but use the converted .wav as the audio source.

    Hope this helps,

    NiVZ.
