    When I start smartripper.exe I get the message "no DVD found" for some reason. Do I have to change the setting or does this happen with some DVD's?

    Should I try a different ripper other then smartripper?

    I suggest you do the following first:
    Check your ASPI Layer, if bad or outdated, upgrade it to the latest 4.6 Build 1021
