Mohd Hazan said that as he was confiscating the goods of a vegetable seller who was trading illegally at the market, a man came up to him and asked him twice whether he could sell VCDs at the market.
“I told him that he was not allowed to do so as it was an offence. The man left but about two minutes later I felt a sharp pain behind my back and when I turned, the man and his friend stated to beat me up with a hockey stick and a piece of wood,” he said.
