Please have patience with my ignorance. Yes, I am one of your newbies. I have finally (it took nearly a week)converted dvd to vcd. Hurraaah! This was not without some considerable difficulty. Here goes:- I can't see how you are supposed to use dvdx version (whatever) because it automatically misses (jumps)past the first 3 minutes or so of the film/vob file. Is there any way to correct this? I also found the instructions surrounding flask useless, as they do not say anything about this application only converting 1 vob file at a time! If this is how it works (surely there is an automatic way like tmpgenc) then details on merging seperate mpeg files need to be given within your guide. Any advice would be welcomed....thanx
