Hey all,
I'm at work and nowhere near my unit or it's owner's manual and I have a dumb question that I need to answer in a flash for a speech I'm giving in a little while...
What region are the discs burned on a USA-bought, NTSC Panasonic unit like mine? Are they region 1, or are they region 0, or all they "all-region"? In other words, if I burn an NTSC disc on my unit and send it to someone in, let's say, Spain, who has an NTSC-capable DVD player, will they be able to view it on their TV set?
Thanks in advance for any help you all can offer on the fly like this!

When I check a disc recorded on my E-50 it says it is playable in region 1-8, has no RCE Protection and no Copyright Protection System. They should be playable anywhere.
Still a few bugs in the system... -

BTW, region code is used mainly for commercial DVD movies and there is no region code in any blank recordable/rewritable DVD media. Just in case anyone who actually believes your "misleading information". -

There can be if you choose, so now who is misleading. -
Now I get it. Your original post was just a rant, and had nothing to do with this particular thread.

No I was trying to help and was on the main page and had no idea what forum I was in. Then you started to be an ass when you didn't like my answer.

Please do not make this the end of the world.ok..... I was stating that commercial dvd's are region 1 as well as when you back up dvd's you can chhose a region code. I never said blanks were. I was talking about backing up movies. And the machine is region 1 unless it is imported. -
