I have burned over 300 of them without a single bad disc or burn. They burn at 2X on my Sony DRU500ax. Someone here said they also burn at 2x on Pioneer burners if they are updated to the latestfirmware.

I bought some of these when I bought my burner...figured I'd save a little money after plunking down $150 for a burner. It turned out to be a horrible batch of discs. Out of the spindle of 25, I had only two or three discs that successfully burned, and even they had problems. I've heard people say they work great, and other people who despise them. I say that you get what you pay for, and at CompUSA, that can be a big crapshoot.
---I regard my purchase of CompUSA discs this way...I spent $20 for 25 frisbees for my dog...still not a good deal though"I argue very well. Ask any of my remaining friends. I can win an argument on any topic, against any opponent. People know this, and steer clear of me at parties. Often, as a sign of their great respect, they don't even invite me."

I bought a CompUSA pack that has DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW and extras for $15.
Ten disks total.
I was a littly scared to use them but wanted soemthing to play with since the dual format drive was new and I was using a bitsetting firmware.
They have worked in every machine I put them in. With full labels.

here's my experience with bad/cheap media.
bought a stack of 25 khypermedia...only 4/25 would burn at 1x. They were supposed to be 4x disks.
bought a stack of 25 memorex (cmc). These were a little bit better than the khypermedia. I was able to burn 17/25 at 2x. they were supposed to be 4x. Any time i burned at 4x though, the movie would skip or become pixelated.
bought another stack of 25 memorex (cmc) while waiting for my 50 stack of riteks to come in the mail. 20/25 burned at 1x and 2x speed.
received my stack of 50 riteks and will never burn with any other media. -
Princo is a hit-or-miss proposition.
Some people have GREAT luck with Princos, and some people have NO luck with them. Which will you be? Dunno, try it. Worst case, those stores DO take the media back. Just act disgusted.
As for KHypermedia, their discs are made by CMC - bottom of the barrel GARBAGE.
