switching to slave drive to burn with nero

hey guys

i just installed a dvd burner into drive f........drive e is my primary drive... when i try to "choose recorder from nero 5.5.5.1 it only gives me options for my master drive and a virtual drive...i am trying to burn a vcd

can anyone help?

If u have 2 optical drives, one being a dvd burner....I'd uninstall the virtual drive if u have one. It will only serve to confuse the system.

On my puter, I have a cdrw/dvd-rom as the master, and my dvd burner as slave. (Btw, the letter designations are meaninless in this context. The puter just assigns it a letter) It was explained to me ages ago that the drive u use most often should be set as master. Some people have it in their head that a dvd burner has to be set as master, but it simply isn't true.

If you set yours up similar to this, your software should have no trouble finding the drive u desire. Lastly...I hope yer using xp as yer OS.
