  1. I'm trying to convert my avi file (which I downloaded from WinMX) to a mpg file so that I can make it a VCD. I have TMPGEnc, I also downloaded the plugin (VFAPI). I tried opening the avi file for the video source, it says that it cannot be opened or unsupported. I opened it for the audio source, it loads great. Then I loaded the VideoCD (NTSC)template. It works. Then I went back to the Guide and told me to go here: http://www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgenc.htm#problems it told me to increase the AVI VFW to 1. So I did. I also copied the rest of the settings that was shown on the picture, which was to set all the rest to 0. Is that something wrong I did? Or is leaving it all 0 a good thing?

That's all the info you need I hope, or you can just ask me for more info in this topic. Thanks for reading this!

Just to make certain: You mention that you downloaded the VFAPI Plugin. But did you a) install it in the same directory as the program and b) execute the *.bat file which actually then installs the plugin?

  6. I did do that when I first downloaded it. Actually, I didn't know it installed. But I guess it did. And it is in the same folder.

  7. I think it is installed or I wouldn't even be able to access the plug-in in the "Environmental Settings...". Can you tell me what the settings should be for each name in the VFAPI tab?
