Can't capture audio with ulead vs7

I have an aver tv studio and until now I could capture video and audio with uvs7 fine. After I installed pinnacle studio 8 and ulead dvd workshop trial I can't capture audio although I can hear it. I unistalled pinnacle studio 8 and reinstalled uvs7 but it didn't work. What can I do to fix this?

Check your Recording Volume and make sure you select the right input source and make sure not muted. Even though your playback is set to the right source for example USB audio in but recording source might be set to Line-in or MIC.

Thanks for your help. I selected "line in" in "Recording Control" and now I can capture audio. I still have some more questions though. I never had to select recording source manually in "Recording Control", why do I have to do it now? If I select "TV tuner audio" in "Recording control" I can't capture audio. My card has both audio in and audio out (connected to sound card), is the "line in" selection right or could this cause audio synch problems?

Your cap card is not captureing the audio, just passing it through to the sound card, thus possible sync problems
