  1. Just got this burner in today and use very cheep media to see if the burner would crash. I use KHypermedia it burned with no problem's. The ripping speed is about 3.6. I'll give more info on it when I can test more on this DVD burner.

  3. Just want to make a update. I ripped duel layer DVD took 14:43 minute's for a 6.72gig dvd. Ripping speed change's as it ripp's about 7.7 or is the average speed start of slow then speed's up then slow down at 5.4. So it start out at about 3.6 then goes half way hit's 7.7 then the end of the DVD hit's 5.4. i used Smartripper

  4. This looks like a fantastic DVD burner from the specs I've seen, just wondering if you've used it under windoze at all and if so what software you used to burn discs with. The drive doesn't appear in the easy cd or nero supported drives list yet...

Thanks for the info you've already given, it's nice to be able to think about purchasing based on reviews rather than manufacturer hype.

Even if Nero doesn't work, at least the software that came bundled with the drive should work, I would think.

I'm looking at getting an OEM drive and am looking to cover my back in case there's no software at all with it.

spiderman2k1: thanks for the feedback, again nice to know what software to purchase if the drive doesn't work with what I've already got
