    File -> Open video file..
    File -> Append AVI segment..
    Video -> Direct stream copy..
    Audio -> Full processing mode..
    Audio -> Compression -> <No Compression (PCM)>
    File -> Save as AVI..

    And then this error msg appears:


    I just want to join 2 *.avi files...
    What can I do?

    Use direct stream copy for your audio as well

    Run t hose two files through AVIcodec or gspot and see what it says about the audio...

    with AVICodec:

    Audio : 81 MB, 192 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 channels, 0x2000 = AC3 DVM, Supported.

    What now?

    Looks like its telling you the audio is AC3 format. There is a version of virtualdub that will allow you to open AC3 files. Are you using it?

    Alternatively, get the AC3 codec.
