  2. Wow, Kind of an odd place to find a Catia question. Do you need V4 or V5 tutorials?

You can try this link for the top ten Catia sites: http://www.tenlinks.com/CAD/MCAD/users/catia/topten.htm
Some may not work anymore but it might get you started.

I've also had some isolated success using the forum at:
    http://www.eng-tips.com/

Unfortunately I don't know of any Tutorial sites.

    Hope this helps.

though catia is some heavy s*** ..

IBM (exclusive world distro) and dassault would be the best bet to get some info on universities with catia courses (its a 2 and 3 year program to learn it all and even then you go out with an internship for 6 months to a year or two year after) ...

Thanks everyone, I'll check the links later. My new job involves generating harnesses for Jaguar Cars so I was going to have a play with it for the next few weeks.

Yep it really looks a heavyweight, last night I cranked it up (Version 5) and then thought "right, what now!"

    Cheers

  6. I would suggest strongly in getting at least basic training. But then, depending where your located, there are Catia user groups. Typically its a free membership with quarterly meetings having demonstrations.
That will help you make contacts and start to see what its capable of.

    Hope this helps

  8. Catia is a CAD (Computer aided Drafting) package used heavily in the Aerospace and Automotive industries. It's like Autocad on steriods. 8)
