  1. I was wondering if you guys could tell me the best place to get media. I am fixing to buy a Pioneer 108 and it will burn 16x Dual Layer, but from what I see the dual layer 16x media just came out and are very, very expensive. Right???

So what is the fastest speed media I can get at a reasonable price and where can I get it?

    thank you for your time,

    Jimmy

I get most of my media from Supermediastore.com and Rima.com. I use the Prodisc 8x media, I have starting burning at 12x with great results. Until the price of DL media comes down I will use the 8x.

There is no 16x dual layer media, only single layer.

The fastest DL media currently available is 2.4x. The fastest single layer media currently available is 16x. Personally, I would just use quality 8x media like Taiyo Yuden.

    Nothing.....
Stick to 8 speed media at the moment. Ritek G05 will burn at 12X in it. Some other brands like TY will burn at 16x, but arnt the cheapest to buy.
As for D/L media its still to expensive to run really. If you are using to back up a film then either 2 std dvd disks or go and but the disk from the shop again. In the long run it would be cheaper.
