I know I need 720x480 capture resolution if I want my finished movie to be on DVD and played on TV. But here is my question. When I capture the analog vhs tapes, MyDVD prompts me to save it as .mpg It doesn't ask me the resolution to capture it in. Am I safe to say it is being captured at the highest resolution size?
Then I choose "make movie" and then it asks me what size, resolution, codec ect. So what is .mpg? And if I save it in mpeg2 720x480 will it be the correct resolution?
