First of all, I hope that I am posting this in the right forum. I know that I saw this posted before but I cannot seem to find the post. What happens is I will do a capture from the dish with the ADVC-100, when I play it back using media player or Power DVD, I get this video noise in the upper part of the screen. It goes across the very, very top edge of the screen. Is there a way to edit that out?

Hey lzicc,
I think what you're seeing is the overscan area of the TV signal. All TVs have this area and I think I read somewhere that the ADVC 100 captures this just fine. What I've done in the past with Beta VCR captures is to run the avi through VirtualDub and use a crop filter. Your capture software may have one of these.

That is what I was looking for. Some way to crop it. You pointed me in the right direction. Thanks for your help.
