Could someone help me on this subject. When backing up a DVD9 to DVDR how do I check bitrate to make sure I am getting the highest quality copy possible? Thank you for your help.

If you have powerdvd just play the movie and right click select show information. it shows bitrate of audio & video. thats how I check I like to see how the bitrate fluctuates in different scenes.

Thanks guys for the reply. Since I am new to this bitrate thing could you answer a couple other questions. How do I adjust bitrate if needed to record from DVD9 to DVDR? How do I know the bitrate needs adjusting, in other words what is a good bitrate vs. what is a low bitrate? I have simply been backing up using CloneDVD/AnyDVD without making any adjustments because I simply do not know anything about bitrate and how to adjust, what to adjust, etc. Is this something important I should be doing? Any advice you may offer will be greatly appreciated. I am using:

    Plex 708 Writer
    Pioneer 105 DVD ROM
