  2. That shouldn't be a problem. Just connect your s-video out to your video recorder. It probably already has a s-video connector, or you just buy a cheap s-video to "whatever-you-need" adapter.

  3. The only problem which may arrise is that of NTSC, you are pal. So if the file is ntsc your pal video will not know how to recode the ntsc signal and you will get it in black and white.

  4. hardcoreruss,

I don't think that is the case (at least not on mine). Effectively all you are doing is using the vcr as a second monitor so it's only recording the video/audio stream as it would appear on your PC screen. The source file format is immaterial.

  5. Obviously, yeah you are right. I got confused cause the first time I did it I made a svcd and then copied to tape, hence the pal ntsc problem.

Your method is correct, however will it record sound ?, my friend has his tv set as monitor two but it does not process sound.

  6. Yeah it records sound without a problem.

Maybe it depends on the PC sound card and video card as to how well this works. I have a Creative Extigy hooked up to my A/V Receiver and go from the receiver to the vcr and/or telly. My video out comes from a Radeon AIW and is also connected to the receiver.
