  1. I have a question about this product.

One of the features and benefits of this product is the ability to add multiple music files to your slideshow (MPA, WAV & MP3). Will the program convert other types of files (CDA, etc.) or not?

Has anyone used this product? For or against?

  2. I have used Pictureshow2 but only used MP3 audio files. Its a decent program for the price but limited on the video options. Ulead Movie Factory3 which just came out now looks like it has the audio features you are looking for plus all the video stuff. Movie factory2 sucked for slideshows but now with version 3 having better Audio I would check it out.

  3. If you just want to put digital camera photos on a DVD-R disc, then Ulead DVD PictureShow 2 is a good option.

    Weaknesses:

    - It doesn't synchronize music to slides very precisely.

    - The quality of *CD* output isn't as good as the quality of *DVD* output.

I think DVD PictureShow 3.0 - forthcoming - is going to be tremendously improved.

I also agree that the brand new Ulead DVD MovieFactory 3.0 is awesome:

There are two new versions: the "Disc Creator" version and the "Standard" version.

I bought the "Disc Creator" version and I'm very pleased so far.

The quality of the photos will improve on VCD/SVCD in Uled DVD PictureShow 2 if you do not enable transition effects. The reason of this is that transition effects is encoded as video and the resolution of still pictures is better than video resolution on VCD and SVCD (704x576/480 as still pictures bit not better than 480x576/580 with transitions on SVCD).

  5. True, however, when I choose not to use transitions on a VCD disc as you described, I observe slight flickering on my television sets.

When I burn to DVD, the picture quality is absolutely perfect.

Therefore, I recommend the DVD burning aspect of the program.

There's an update patch - by the way - on the Web page at the following link:
