    Something I've been struggling with, are DVD's interlaced or progressive? And when I'm using TMPGn on avi dvdrip files to make (s)vcds, should I select interlaced or progressive. Some please provide some clarification?

    depends on what? I want to play these things on a dvd player, what's the best setting to use or is there a way to test the avi files before using tmpgenc
