It says in the DVD Players database that this player should play mp3's on a DVD, others say they have done it. I have made several futile attempts, and it won't recognize any of the discs. It does play my mp3 CD's.
I'm using Toast 6 under Mac OS X 10.3. First I just tried using the mp3 disc option, then ISO 9660 with a couple variations of file name rules, since the player can handle long file names, at least longer than the old 8 characters.
If anyone out there has done this, or anything similar... what could be wrong with this picture? Maybe I missed the one name format that would work. I'd rather wait for a potential tip than just keep throwing good dvd-r's after bad at this point.
Dang, this was one of the points that made me chose this player this time around.
