the way i copy a copy is 1st open up DVD Decryptor and rip your copied dvd in either file mode and then burn it again in nero. an easier way could be to rip in iso mode and then write all in dvd decryptor.

if it's a copy you are trying to copy, you should be able to just select all the files in windows explorer and copy/paste them onto your hard drive since all the css is gone and whatnot.

To copy a copy you can start either a DVD Copy or a DVDVideo project in Nero.
If you start a DVDCopy and have two DVD drives, place the "original copy" in the DVDROM and the blank disk in the DVDRW. To record in 4x speed you must disable the copy on the fly.
If you start a DVDVideo project, select all the files in the VIDEO_TS folder on the DVDR Copy and drag them to the project's VIDEO_TS folder.
If all these fail, (which means something funny is wrong with your system or your installation of Nero), you can copy (as mentioned) all the files with explorer on the HD and then burn in exactly the same way as you recorded the original copy. The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know. -
Thanx, dvd decrypter works!

Copying a copy, eh ? Taking the backup issue to the extreme, by the sound of it. What's this - do you give your mates copies to keep as "off-site" backups ?

I always make two backups of my originals, just to be double sure.
I even order 3 curries at a time just incase the first is cold and the second isn't quite hot enough -

It seems like you guys don't get it! Read the basic rules of this forum. If you use word "copy" - no one will help you seriously. You can only backup DVD's, not copy them. By the way, what are you trying to copy, rental DVD's? The copy of a copy is even worse. This forum will not last long if you continue making the same mistake, and newbies will not be able to find help on how to BACKUP DVD's that they OWN.

At no point did the original author mention his DVD was not his own.
Who gives a shit if he's copying his own backup's, who the hell are you to judge?
Who's to say he doesn't have a portable DVD player, a caravan or another house in the South of France?
Maybe he doesn't want to carry his originals around with him, he keeps one set of his backups at one house and the other set at his villa?
Do you know for sure?
No, you dont.
If you have an issue with a specific thread then follow the rules of the forum, report it and let the moderator's take any action they see fit.
Stop your bleating and follow your own example.
Your ranting is only alienating the very same newbies you proclaim to protect.
And please, while you're at it, feel free to complain about me.

Wow, Wow! Calm down! I did not mean to offend anybody here, including the original author of the thread. What is it that you are so mad about? Please keep your nasty words away from the forum.
P.S. The words you used before you edited your post... -

You're an idiot, and a two-faced idiot at that.
Don't bleat about how you didn't mean to cause offence when you post the utter crap you just did.
What was your point?
To answer your question I'm not mad, I just get sick and tired of you self-styled anal-retentive idiots bleating on about how terrible the world is, when really you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about nor any substantiation in which to back up your meagre argument.
Keep my nasty words away from the forum?
What are you, like 12?
Again, I won't degenerate this thread any further than you already have, I won't make any further post.
If you have something further to add PM me, I'm happy to teach you a lesson about the lack of natural justice in society
