  1. hi!....i have a tonne of jazz mp3s i got from Emusic....now i want to somehow burn them onto a DVDr for playback in home DVD players (basically just make some nice compilation music DVDs)...i also want to have basic menus---separated by albums on the menu, and then the track info for each tune......so, do i have to convert the mp3s to wav, or AC3??....which is the best in terms of compatibility??....also i wanna get the most music possible on 1 DVD....which software would i need for these tasks??....i'm on a PC and have a new Pioneer DVD burner i just got.

    Any suggestions??

    Thnx,
    J

I dont think this is possible with out a lot of re-encoding, if it is possible at all. Now music videos are a different story. Good luck though. If you figure out a way, write a guide! I would love to see it, I would do it too!

Probably a AC3 file I would presume. Anyone care to add or correct me?

just make a seperate folder for each album. put the mp3 in the folders, burn the folders onto a data dvd. your dvdplayer will use the folders as defacto menus. you can fit a few thousand mp3 on a dvd. no reencoding needed

Not that many DVD players will play mp3's on a DVD, although I am lucky and have got one that will.

It appears that the CPU was operating so fast that it began to execute instructions before they arrived. This execution of future instructions created a small tear in space-time itself through which part of the cpu passed into a parallel universe

  8. it seems this 40cds on 1 DVDr method gives u only 1 track for each CD which u put on the DVDr??....am i right in understanding this???

  9. The problem with authoring an audio DVD is you are limited to 99 menus and 99 titles, which would be 99 songs or 99 albums. The best way is what others suggested about making a DVD-MP3...if your player supports them.
    My players don't support DVD-MP3 so I just make a MP3 CD.

    99 Titles * 99 Chapters = 9801
    9 TitleSets * 99 Titles * 99 Chapters = 88,209

Either way, that's plenty of songs for one disc! (And that's normal DVD-Video mode)

  11. what i did was make a photo slide show using nero vison express and using the album cover as a pic, then set the display to be as long as each song, however it gets very messy very quickly and took a lot of fooling around to achive very little, in the end i used this method (kind of) to get a whole bunch of mpegs and authered a dvd with menus with a main one for albums and a sub menu with chapters for songs, its not nearly as much music as an mp3 cd even and the quality was sh*t, ill try and post screen caps of it later
