  2. I have the vob instant cd i ruined my first dvd, it copied but it will not play. I then saw an option under profiles to choose the disk type (dvd-rom), not sure if that effected things, the help said it generally doesn't matter

I was able to use smartripper and rip the video to disk fine from the copy that wouldn't play on pc-dvd or stand-alone. Leads me to believe it might be a macrovision problem.

When i get my new disks i ordered, i am going to try backup it up again using smartripper, then record the files to disk, has anyone used prassi dvd-rep, i might try that.

I do know that some single sided disks are over 4.7 gigs, which would have to be split to multiple disks.

has anybody, found a direct-copy solution that works for the pioneer-a03?

or successful ripped then burned the disk?

I would appreciate the help, disk's are quite expensive right now, nearly 1/3 to 1/2 the price of most movies.
