  1. I have a mpg file which plays , as if in slow motion. Though the audio seems fine and in sync.

    Please advise how I can fix this problem as I want to make a VCD from the same.

    Did you obtain the file already like that or is this something you encoded? Open the mpeg in Virtualdub and go "File Information" on the file menu. Post a screen cap if you can. If not, what is the resolution, frames per second, data rate, and audio sampling rate?

  3. This is the original file in mpg format. It is more like streaming video rather than mpg file.

    Here is the info :

    FPS (Frame rate) 25fps , 352 x 288, (40000 us)
    No of frames : 82656 (55:06)
    Avg bitrate : 1152kbps (141KB/s)

    Audio

    Formt : 44Khz stereo,224 Kbps layer II
    # FRAMES : 126570
    Size : 90407 K

    Try running it through "Merge and Cut" in TMPGEnc's MPEG Tools. You can find the tools by clicking on the File menu. This can somtimes fix errors that were made when the audio and video were originally multiplexed. Not guaranteed to work but worth a shot.
