Look the best way to back up a DVD is what works for you.

I don't use that program because my method Decrypter, IC7, pdi2iso, Decrypter works well for me.

It's the difference between driving 55 mph or 60 mph...who cares the important thing is that you get there.

Yep, don't use dvd x copy express ! It is the only software that puts the backup on the DVD.

Try DVDShrink or DVD2One and see if you like the results. Then you'll know if you're missing out.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  7. I agree that use what works for you. Here are why some folks say it is "shit"?:

    1) there are free alternatives = dvdshrink
    2) there are lower cost alternatives = dvd2one
    3) People pissed off about the stupid warning label on their dvd's
    4) inability to compress an entire movie onto 1 dvdr

Well, DVDXCopy Express is designed for beginners. Most people here aren't beginners, and we find it hard to out ourselves in the shoes of people who don't know a lot about dvd writing or computers in general. Now there are better programs out there, but they do require more knowledge. Whether or not learning how to use those programs (as opposed to accepting DVDXCOPY Express' limitations) is worth it is a matter of personal choice.

  9. Northcat - as an aside the newer verisons of DVD Decrypter will burn PDI files, no need to run pdi2iso (which IIRC is a pretty slow program).
