what is the best dvd burner out right now? i want to buy a good dvd burner and was thinking about get a sony 8x external drx-530ul also i'm don't know to much on dvd writers and wanted to know wat is the differents between a internal and external is one faster or is one easier to use ...i don't know which one to get a external or internal which one is better

External dvd writers have their own power supply. They don't use much power or resources from your pc compared to a internal one. Generally external ones are more expensive than internal drives. I would recommend Plextor, Pioneer and LiteOn dvd writers. Also it depends on what your computer specs are. I would suggest getting a internal drive dvd writer unless you don't have room in your pc then getting a external one would be ideal. External drives can be hooked up by USB or FIREWIRE. For portability a external one would be good to get. Plextor's external and current internal drive both burn at the same speeds. Check their website www.plextor.com

Every brand has their pros and cons and share of problems.
