Have a 4040B and have been burning ripped movies (Nero 6) to Imation DVD+RW, then burning over them once I have watched them. This has been working well and I have been burning at 2.4X. I have experienced now with a couple of disks that after one or two successful cycles of this I can no longer burn to these particular disks. Everything seems to go fine but somewhere in the middle I get a "Burn failed at 2.4X" message. Doesn't matter if I quick or fully erase the disk first or not. I have other disks from the same group that have worked many times and continue to work after multiple rewrites.
Are these just likely to be bad disks or is there something I can do to make them work again? I bought them because the media section rated them as highly compatible with my DVD player.
Thanks,
