When backing up copies of both ps2 games and movies Nero image writer has occasionally spit out two files. One being the nrg image that its suppose to and the other being a file ‘filename.nrg.001’. I was hoping someone could provide me with some info to what this nrg.001 file is. Is this portions of the disc that were left out or is this just garbage that was on the original?

Here's some more info for anyone that can help me out. Im backing up my games with nero 6. The first output file, filename.nrg, seems to work fine and appears to be the entire game. The second, filename.nrg.001, is a little more confusing. Nero won't recognize it as an image and i can't break it with isobuster. It appears to be raw data but i don't know for sure if it was something that could have been left out of the game.
Im using Shrink to rip my movies and then Nero 6 to burn the image. Shrink works fine and when nero burns the image it will spit out the nrg.001 file. This file is the same as the one from the game. Nero won't recognize it and i can't break it with isobuster. I just get errors when i do. If anyone as any ideas what this could be or where i could find some info on it please let me know
Also anyone know if its possible to rip a dvd directly to bin/cue?
