  1. Right now I have the Panasonic DMR-E80H and I think of two thing one getting a Panasonic DMR-E100HS. Both recorder's would be in the same room. Would the remote from one unit control the other unit? Or would it be better to get other brand recorder. I also thought of just selling my E80H and just upgrading to the E100HS if I had a remote problem. The one good thing about my E80H it burner's any brand of media I put in so it some thingh I have to think about. I do not want a recorder that is picky about the media I put in it. Thanks

  2. Spidey,

Check out Page 46 in your E80H manual. You can set the remote controls on these things to one of THREE different infrared channel settings.

No problem -- go out and get TWO E100's!!

  3. "thoots" Thank's I have a question are there any burning problem's you have read about? I read this post

    http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=349236

It seem's some people are having dubbing problem's with some brand's at 4X. If this is the case with the DMR-E100HS. Then I think I might just get another E80H. it might be slower but more stable. On the DMR-E100HS it seem's from what I have read you can not select the burning speed just burn's at the fastest speed.

  4. Hmm... I never thought about that "disadvantage" of 4x high speed dub. Like I have one batch of DVD blanks that can be burned at 2x but than I can't play them. Workaround was to burn them on PC. In E100HS I would have just coasters.

BTW: I think it would be better to have new post with this issue since it is not about "remote control" anymore.
