download a program, i think its called AdAware. it will scan your computer and get rid of any spyware that kazaa put on your computer

or if you really want to clean your hard drive, just reformat it and reinstall windows

Spybot - make sure you download the upgrades after you install.

  8. The only foolproof way is to re-install xp and a virus program and a firewall and never connect to the internet or install any programs.. this however is somewhat self-defeating.

Use Ad-aware, or quite a few other spy/adware removers. Personally I use Ad-Aware Pro as it also scans for some common viruses that cause major headaches and also can fix registry problems caused by spy/adware

if you still insist on using Kazza, go find Kazaa Lite, same program but with no adware/spyware at all

BUT, install a firewall/virus software as a lot of stuff on there DOES have worms/trojans in them, especially if you intend to use copyrighted material, I don't bother with P2P anymore, not worth the aggrevation

I use Adaware Pro 6 in conjuntion with Spybot: Search and Destroy(freeware). Spybot almost always catches things that Adaware misses. And for file sharing I use Kazaa-lite(no adware), or Sharezaa.

I read in the news that Kazaa was going to sue if all of the search engines didn't remove Kazaalite. So you are not able to dnld kazaalite anymore. But you can however install kazaa and use it to dnld kazaalite and then uninstall kazaa.

If you don't have a virus checker, you're never going to know if you have a "Clean" computer system. Adaware and Spybot will remove spyware, but not a virus. Sounds like you have a bigger problem, than the threat of spyware to me.
But hey, what do I know.....
