    This is an actually screen shot of me ripping a DVD to ISO. I thought it was only 12x unlocked. I have seen mine go to 14x a few times. This is the fastest I have seen on mine, or anywhere else for that matter.

    Thats a pretty crazy speed from a 105, I assume you have the hacked firmware. Even so its a unsually fast speed for one.

    On a side note, is getting this hacked firmware a good idea? (I have the same drive), and anybody know any locations for it? Thanks!

    And it was a DVD-5, not a DVD-9.

  7. I'm also using the hacked firmware. It's been about 6 months since I upgraded and I love the faster rip speeds, and being able to burn g03s at 2x (back when 4x media was a little pricey).
