Okay, I think ive heard enough from everyone to go ahead and try dvdshrink. I am very new to this, and ive had alot of problems with xcopy, so maybe this is my time to at least try something new. i heard shrink version 3.1 has nero built into it, is that true? if that is true will it conflict with the Nero I already have installed on my system? and do I have to take xcopy off my computer before I download shrink 3.1? if I dont will there be any conflict, or problems? finally where do you buy these ritek discs at? I have been using memorex dvd-r, and ive had a problem or two getting them to play glitch free in my toshiba sd3800, but they play great in my friends older toshiba, and my moms cheaper toshiba. ive heard the riteks are the discs to have, but i cannot find them at compusa, or any other stores. thanks.

Hello ikon316.
v3.1 (now v3.1.1), does not have Nero built-in.
It uses Nero if it is installed on your computer.
So unless you have an old version with which DVD Shrink would be incompatible (older than v5.5) you don't have to worry about anything.
You should not have to uninstall DVDXCopy before you install DVD Shrink either.
I do not know where you can get Ritek discs in the states as I reside in the UK, but I'm sure someone will point upi in the right direction soon.
Some bad news: v3.1.1 will be DVD Shrink final release.
