  1. Hey, I'v ripped a few dvds and the quality isn;t as good as the dvd or other avi's that i'v seen, some movies i'v seen look like dvd quality. I used dvdx 2.2 and it only works if dvdx 2.0 is installed, but thats besides the point. does anyone have an idea what im doing wrong?

  6. Newbie Conversion
DivX to VCD,SVCD,DVD. Conversion from downloaded videoclips such as AVI, DivX, XVID, ASF, MOV, RM to MPEG VCD or MPEG2 SVCD, CVD, DVD. No questions regarding DVD ripping/conversion here please.

    DVD to (S)VCD, AVI
Everything about DVD ripping, decoding, encoding, authoring and burning from DVD-Video to MPEG VCD, SVCD, CVD, XVCD, XSVCD or DivX, XviD, AVI, WMV. But no DVD to DVDR here please.

Not that I personally care -- But, AMillionThingsToDo is correct. DVD to (S)VCD is the correct forum for DVD Ripping and not Newbie Conversion.
