  1. I've got my 5.1 channel ac3 files as the first audio track available and my stereo files as the second audio track. ReelDVD requires all video segments to have the same type of audio track in the same order. The problem is for some video tracks I've only got 2 channgel stereo files.

I've tried importing the stereo file into BeSweet and exporting it as 5.1 ac3, but BeSweet assumes I'm an idiot and changes it to 2 channel ac3. Either that or I am missing something there.

Are there any cheap solutions to fix this problem? I've seen some trialware stuff but the real deal is over $1k and I think I'll run into this again, so I'd like to find a solution that will work in the future as well.

ReelDVD won't let me have an empty first track either. I guess there's a reason for this as it seems silly and there are plenty of DVDs out there that mix between 6 channel and 2 channel stuff. /shrug

    Thanks in advance!

  2. So there's no solution to creating a 6 channel ac3 file from a stereo wav file? I was hoping for something as easy as taking my existing 2 channel file, creating 2 copies of it with the volume pushed down to almost zero and creating an ac3 file from that using the 2 "very low volume" files for the channels I don't really care about (just to satisfy the channels requirement).

There's really nothing cheap to do this, at least from a novice point of view, simple operation?

    Thanks,

Well, you could do something like this:

Convert your existing 2ch. AC3 files into two mono wav files. Create 4 more empty wav files of identical length.

From there, you can use a .LST file and have BeSweet produce a 5.1 AC3 from the wav files. SoftEncode could do it too, but that is an expensive solution.
