  1. After replacing my stock Pioneer 104 with a 106 a few months ago, I held onto the 104 just in case there were unforseen problems with the faster drive. There haven't been, but before I put the older unit on e-bay, I was wondering what advantage there might be in having two DVD drives. I have a Dual optical drive G4, so I could put the 104 beneath the 106, but aside from CD to CD copying, I can't see any DVD related advantage of having two drives. Does anyone have a jsutification for not selling the older unit?

#1 reason to keep two DVD Burners:

You can, if you have any version of Toast Titaninum ( 5 or 6)
duplicate the app on your HD, assign a single burner to each
application, and burn DVDs simultaneously, even if one is internal, and one is external.

Got a Backup you need to make for yourself and your brotherinlaw/friend/lover/babysitter/motherinlaw/person over your shoulder?
Take your backup from DVDTOX, duplicate it, plop one in
TT6A window in DVD-UDF format, plop the other in
TT6B window in DVD-UDF format, clik burn, and get two discs
out the same time as one.

its nice yes... but sometimes i get read/write erros when doing it that way for dvd's cd's no problem....

but sometimes dvd's error on me doing a 2 drive copy.
its really nice having two though.. i would keep it if you dont really need the money you could get for selling it
