I use Ritek GO4's and I have been noticing that some burn in 15 minutes and some burn in 30 minutes. It would seem to me that a 4x speed disk would burn in 15 minutes. Nero always shows the burn speed at 4x yet sometimes they take 30 minutes. Not really a big deal but im just curious. I have the Sony Dru510a with the latest update. Thanks.

Sounds like it failed the calibration test at the beginning of the burn and dropped back to 2x to ensure compatibility and a decent burn.
It happens... not very often, usually, but it happens. -
As Garry wrote.
It happened very often to my neighbour's NEC1300 until we flashed it with the latest 1.09 fw.
mrbass has a registry trick on his website to show realtime burning speed and buffer state if you burn with Nero.
http://mrbass.org/dvdburn -
This is the nero registry trick:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ahead\Nero - Burning Rom\Recorder]
"ShowSingleRecorderSpeed"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ahead\Nero - Burning Rom\Recorder]
"ShowSingleRecorderSpeed"=dword:00000001
Save to notepad as nero.reg,make sure you save as all files so you dont have the txt extension,then double click on the reg file to enter into your registry.
