I have read an image to my hard drive and now want to burn the image. I want to use freeware so downloaded DVD Decrypter but this seems to only burn an ISO image and DVD Shrink does not seem to support burning the image, only reading it. Can anyone advise what will do the job and is freeware? Thanks in advance.

  2. DVD Decrypter will also write the ISO image. Go to mode-iso-write. This will only work if the original DVD was a DVD-5 single layer. If it was a DVD-9 dual layer you should rip it in file mode and re-encode. Search the guides for ways to do this.

  3. You said you read an image to your hard drive. What did you use to read the image? If you use DVD decrypter it will read an ISO image(make an exact copy) and also write that image.

You can try DEEPBURNER or BURNATONCE which are free, but it will depend on the type of image you have. You may also download the trial version of Nero and you'll be okay for 30 days.

I use Daemon Tools to mount the image. It makes a virtual cd/dvd rom on your computer. Just open up the folder where the file is & it'll be a {name of movie}.mds file as long as you ripped it with Dvd Decrypter in the ISO READ MODE. Then shrink it with DVD SHRINK. I also use Nero 5.5.10.54 to make a video dvd. Good Luck!
It's not always what it seems.
