EASYDIVX CONVERT - HOW LONG FOR 3 GB??

Im converting a 3gb dvd into a avi and wondered how long this should take??

its currently on 14 hours

my machine is a 2.66 amd with 512 sdram so fairly quick (i hope)
is this right or am i making a mountain out of a molehill?

Doesn't really matter about the size of the dvd. Really just depends on how long the movie is and what program you're using and the settings. 14 hours isn't uncommon for a whole movie sometimes because of the settings.

im using easydivx and it currently stands at 82 hours for a 100 minute clip

it seems happy though and isnt a pull on resources but it does seem a hell of a long time!!

That is one of the less popular programs for doing what you are doing. I would use DVD2AVI or some other dvd ripping tool from the tools section.. Should never take more than overnight to do a movie, NEVER.
